ShadeDweller ProT5 Kit is a sleek, attractive, highly versatile, and dedicated UV-B lighting kit with the needs of modern reptile keeping at heart. It’s the complete Lighting Kit for Crepuscular species.

ShadeDweller ProT5 is equipped with a highly functional but removable curved reflector that ensures a UV rich basking area directly beneath the unit.

Which lamp should I choose?
Choosing the correct ShadeDweller will allow you to provide the correct provision of UV-B to species such as (but not limited to):

• Leopard Geckos
• Crested Geckos
• Day Geckos (small)
• Amphibians
• Inverts
• Hatchling Snakes
  

The ShadeDweller 7% UV-B has been designed around the needs of crepuscular species such as Leopard Geckos.The fixture is intended to be placed at a distance of 10-12 inches (25-30 cm) from the basking spot. This positioning allows the animal to obtain essential UV energy in a safe and effective manner.

However, for those who keep these species in smaller or more shallow enclosures where the optimal distance for the ShadeDweller 7% UV-B is not achievable or keep crepuscular Arboreal species and choose to decorate the top of the enclosure, the ShadeDweller-Arboreal 2.4% fitting becomes a better choice.

The ShadeDweller-Arboreal 2.4% has been designed to be safe and effective for use over standard meshed topped enclosures, as well as inside vivariums where the planting and decoration is close to the lamp. The ShadeDweller-Arboreal 2.4% Kit provides the ideal UVI (UV Index) for shade dwelling species, like Crested Geckos and those falling into Ferguson zones 1-2, to benefit fully from activated colour vision and the naturally effective D3 cycle, safely. The effectiveness of this fixture depends on factors such as the distance to the basking area, the species' climbing ability, and the requirement of a smaller area of UV energy.

Create a bespoke lighting system:
Pair the ShadeDweller-ProT5 or ShadeDweller-ProT5-Arboreal with genuine for increased visible light and high PAR levels which will ensure fantastic plant growth.

Any ShadeDweller, ProT5 and JungleDawn-LED Bar should be provided alongside a Thermostat controlled heat source such as the Arcadia Reptile Solar Basking Flood, Halogen Floods and Deep Heat Projector.
