Established in 1980 Monkfield Nutrition quickly cemented a reputation for our passion and expert knowledge within the reptile-keeping community. After three decades of continuous innovation, passion and underpinned by a loyal workforce, Monkfield Nutrition has evolved into Monkfield Reptile, an internationally recognised industry leader which remains a family business at heart.

In 2001 Monkfield Reptile expanded its operations in response to market shortages to include breeding and supplying high quality rodents for reptiles.

Since then the Monkfield family has grown with Arcadia joining in 2016 quickly followed by Habistat in 2018.

Monkfield Reptile now comprises of three market leading brands: Monkfield Nutrition, HabiStat and Arcadia Reptile all focused on improving the lives of reptiles kept as pets. We supply over 1,500 products to independent pet shops, specialist outlets, retail chains, zoos, wildlife centres and more!

As reptile keepers ourselves we understand it is critical that we provide the right resources to educate and enable new and established keepers to make informed decisions about how to care for their animals properly.

Reptile husbandry will always include live food as an essential part of their diet. We provide a diverse range of high-quality live food including crickets, locusts, mealworms and dubia roaches. All of our live food is available in bulk packs and is picked, packed and despatched on the same day to ensure quality is maintained.

All live food tubs are made from 80% recycled plastic and are fully recyclable. Letterbox friendly packaging is also available to ensure efficient and easy delivery via our drop ship service.

Our captive breeding programme, established in 1993, has developed into a multifaceted purpose-built breeding facility located at our UK site this enables us to closely monitor the conditions and healthy growth of our livestock. Within our programme we produce all popular reptile species commonly stocked by pet shops including but not limited to Bearded Dragons, Leopard and Crested Geckos, Chameleons, Corn, King and Milk Snakes and Royal Pythons.

In order for our reptiles to thrive our breeding rooms are divided by size and are custom built for each species-specific requirements.

In addition to breeding and live food, Monkfield are established leading providers of high-quality frozen food for reptiles and amphibians. Our extensive range includes Rodents, Poultry, Hamsters, Gerbils, Fish food and more.

Originally an aquatics business Arcadia joined Monkfield nearly a decade ago. HabiStat’s story began in a small site in West London in 1988. Their passion for promoting reptile welfare fuelled their breakthrough in their infamous thermostats cementing them as a leader in holistic reptile care. This subsequently led to them developing in-depth reptile information, branching out into substrates and heat mats and promoting the wellbeing of captive reptiles on an international scale.

HabiStat joined the Monkfield family in 2018 and continue to expand their range and evolve their products to cultivate good keeping practices that encourage reptiles to thrive within a domestic environment.
