About Us

Overview

In 1980, Monkfield Nutrition started breeding insects and supplying to pet shops around the UK. After three decades of continuous innovation and passion and a loyal workforce, Monkfield Nutrition has evolved into Monkfield Reptile, an internationally recognised industry leader which remains a family business at heart.

Monkfield Reptile encompasses three marketleading brands: Monkfield Nutrition, HabiStat and Arcadia Reptile all focused on improving the lives of reptiles kept as pets. We supply over 1,000 products to independent pet shops, specialist outlets, retail chains and wholesalers to zoos and wildlife centres and more!

As reptile keepers ourselves it is critical that we provide the right resources to educate and enable new and existing keepers to make informed decisions about how to care for their animals properly.

We have a strict policy of only supplying bona fide traders and always strive to go the extra mile to make sure our customers are happy.

About Monkfield Nutrition

Whether you are selling or keeping reptiles, live food will form an essential part of their diet. We offer a wide variety of live food including crickets, locusts, mealworms and much more, in varying shapes and sizes, including bulk packs. All our live food is picked, packed and despatched on the same day to ensure maximum freshness. An automated packing machine ensures handling time of insects is limited. All our live food tubs are made from 80% recycled plastic and are fully recyclable. We even offer Letterbox friendly packaging to ensure ease of delivery for customers.

Since 1993, we have developed a captive breeding programme in our purpose built facility. We breed all the popular reptile species stocked by pet shops including Bearded Dragons, Leopard and Crested Geckos, Chameleons, Corn, King and Milk Snakes and Royal Pythons. All our breeding rooms are divided by size and tailored to each species.

As well as Live Food and Breeding, over the years we have established ourselves as leading providers of high quality frozen food for reptiles as well as amphibians. Our extensive range of frozen food includes: Rodents, Poultry, Hamsters, Gerbils, Fish food and much more.

At HabiStat we take reptile welfare very seriously which is why you’ll find everything you need to create the ideal environment for your reptile to thrive. From housing to heating and hydration as well as a range of inspiring décor that will allow you to be as adventurous as you want to be.
